I've been having trouble with my PC locking up recently and giving me all sorts of BSODs.
I re-formatted a few weeks ago in a bid to solve the problems and I thought that had cured it but they started returning, usually giving me BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER messages.
I disconnected everything from the USB headers on the motherboard and that problem disappeared for a week or so.
Now I'm getting further problems with random BSOD errors.
Things I believe I've eliminated:
- Heat - the temps are fine (although I did have heat troubles a while ago due to kink in my water cooling, maybe caused some damage...)
- RAM - passes memtest fine for a couple of hours.
I'm tending towards this being a motherboard problem purely because the errors don't seem to point to anything particular, or when they do, eliminating them (such as the USB problem mentioned above) only produces different errors.
Other than replacing the motherboard, I'm not sure there's any way of knowing.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.
Thanks in advance.
