Big Quiet Cooler

Hi all- looking to get a couple of Big quiet coolers for AM2/AM3 Socket machines

Not too fussed about Overclocking(possibly on one of them)

Can even be a couple of different ones

I looked at the Titan Fenrir and it looks nice

My machines are in a cupboard and they are driving me barmy as when im watching a movie all I hear is whirring loudly(Im in the PC cupboard like Harry Potter's cupboard under the stairs)

Yeh I have 2 older AMD coolers- stock ones- they are noisy- when i stop the fan the noise goes

Budget is between 15-40 really

I could even go a bit more if those cheapie Corsair Watercooling loops are better- I didnt know if they would be crap though

Any tower cooler + noctua fan : ).
Tuniq is also unaudible on low rpm.

It's tall enough to clear the first ram slot which is not the case for all coolers on affected mobo's.

I have this cooler and its great, push/pull with some enermax fans. silent, and looks pretty nice imo

It may look noisey but it isn't, either that or barman, but this would be cheaper, because the barman if needed, requires a fan, which you need to buy yourself.

Tbh mate, if you're not overclocking you could run that chip with a passive heatsink, that way you aren't going to have any fan noise coming from the CPU cooler.

Which chip is it you're gonna be using? (doesn't say in the OP)

I used a TRUE without any fans on my old 90nm Athlon 6000+ X2, and this was in a case with really poor airflow as well, and it managed to keep my chip within the temp range of that processor, so I imagine with the newer 45nm AMD parts a fanless TRUE would be even better.
