I’m not sure how the release of Ryzen 3D would make that any different.
Probably won’t but it’ll likely be the last gen I can put in my board.

Imagine lots of people have the same idea. I hope at least AMD allows x470 users to upgrade to these CPUs, but considering they tried to squeeze x470 users out of the way for the 5000 series, who knows.
It’s upto the motherboard manufacturer if they want to offer support.
