Hi,
Recently the speed on my LAN has reduced dramatically (Im using Homeplugs) and I am in the process of trying to work out whats gone wrong.. I've done a ping from my server to one of the routers on the network and get this:
Pinging 10.0.0.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 10.0.0.1: bytes=32 time=91ms TTL=64
Reply from 10.0.0.1: bytes=32 time=50ms TTL=64
Reply from 10.0.0.1: bytes=32 time=4ms TTL=64

Reply from 10.0.0.1: bytes=32 time=155ms TTL=64
Ping statistics for 10.0.0.1:
Packets: Sent = 23, Received = 23, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 4ms, Maximum = 159ms, Average = 49ms
Typically the pings are low (around the 3ms mark), but something is causing this to shoot up.. Could these pings result in the speed over my homeplugs dropping from 7MB/s to 2MB/s? (Im not sure if high pings necessarily mean low speed, or just slow response time).
Whats the best way of working out where the problem is?
