In the recent weeks I have been posting a fair bit o nwhat kit i want and the ins and out of setting it up.

Well yesterday I put it all together and it worked straight away!

BIG thanks to everyone who helped me out, it really did put my mind at rest that I was not wasting £450 on kit that wouldnt work.

I am now running the EVGA 780i "for the win" and an E8600 at 4.4Ghz stock voltage with a Thermalright 120 Ultra Exteme cooler.

Once again thanks all!

The E8600 really is an awesome chip, to be able to get 4.4Ghz on stock voltage is impressive. I'm still on the E6600, got it at 3.2Ghz and thats a fairly hefty overclock, quite tempted to buy an E8600.

I am new to intel (been AMD for 10yrs) and the 8600 is my first venture into overclocking an Intel.

What can I say...amazing.

Just need to find out more about the temps for NB chip to make sure it all stays stable
