Hey guys,

I’m in the market for a BIG tower case for my new rig.

I’ve currently got a Chieftec Dragon Full Tower – it’s an okay case, well made etc, but quite badly designed and laid out with poor airflow.

In my new case I want lots of space inside, and if possible, to have forward facing hard drive cages, rather than the traditional side facing ones… I’ll be needing easy access to my drives ;)

Any ideas?

I have a CM Stacker 810 case, its right massive and has loads of room for anything.

Check it out ;)

I'd have to agree with mysticsniper - it's very hard to beat the Stacker 810 for sheer capacity and it's very well thought out in terms of features and cooling and build quality is excellent.

It's regarded as a classic for good reason.

Actually - If you want THE big tower case then have a look at the Lian Li PC343. It's enormous. It is pricey though. I almost forgot the Lian Li V2000 as well.

Nice ;)

Am I reading it right, can you convert 3x vacant 5.25" bays into 4x 3.5" bays?

For £12?

Yes a CM 4-in-1 module converts 3x5.25" bays into hard drive spaces. Although I'm not sure if you can fit 4 in 1 modules, seems a bit too tight fit. 3 is ok though.

You get one module with the case. I would remove the metal area behind the fan- obstructs the airflow.

i agree with the mozart case. most seem to dislike it because its overly big, but imo, its a nice looking case, and its even got room for a second motherbaord thats mini atx size, and a 7inch lcd touchscreen that can be added too it.

Not that cash is the biggest issue in my case slection, but of those mentioned, which one is roughly the cheapest :p

SW.

Ps - I'm loving the look of the Stacker btw!

V2000B does the job for me, gutted the base out had phase in there and now got 6 PA120.1's in there and a pa120.3 in the top, 7 pumps, 7 loops, 14 fans, everything in a case, neat sexy and silent and cool

You never actually got the Phase unit though did you Drazic? And im still doubtfull that you'll fit 7 loops unless I see finished pictures of it. You can deffinately fit phase and 1 loop though;

:D

Edit; So yeah, v2000, pc-201, stacker 810, TJ-09 or a Mountain mods case would all be good choices.

It's not in use, but I have a Lian Li case which was never released in this country. I can't remember the model no., but it has a lockable front door and ten HDD activity LEDs on it. It's about 33% bigger than my PC71.

Next time I go into the cellar I'll have a look and report back.
