Ok guys i just installed the latest vista on my computer, but for some reason when i hook my external hard drive up to my computer it installs the software, then it won't open the hard disk!
and then my computer and windows explorer freeze up and show as not responding! but as soon as i switch my hard disk off it responds again, i really need to be able to access it as i have a lot of vital data on there, does anyone have any ideas?
*note i haven't installed any motherboard chipset drivers as vista seems to have picked up everything anyway, could this be the solution?
** when i try to explore the external disk from my computer i get a error saying - "E:\ is not accessible, the request could not be performed because of an I/O error"
anyone have any ideas?
