Big Wedding Post - Pic Heavy - Very Pic Heavy!!!

I can't say I know anything about wedding photography, or particularly like looking at peoples wedding photos, esp. if I don't know them.... BUT, these are fantastic!. To me they have a wonderful atmosphere, and seem to capture a very relaxed, joyous occasion [some weddings seem very stiff and uptight] perfectly.

If this was my day, I would be over the moon to receive these.

These are very nice!! I like how the fun of the day has really been captured and not just the pictures people expect to see in Wedding albums....

Thank you. :)

I can see which photographer you get your inspiration from (if you don't then that is some coincidence!), from the composition, the little added grain, the T/S (except he does it for real) and to the night moving drag lights shots.

I get inspiration and ideas from allot of photographers, Ross Harvey, Marshal Grey etc. etc. but on the day all that kind of goes out the window and I just shoot on instinct and whatever looks good through the viewfinder.

My favourite, is mistakes that just happen to turn out better than if I had planned it.

Overall, it looks like a great day, some lovely pictures and shame about the rain, guess why there isn't as much couple shots as there are normally ?

Actually I think the rain added a good atmosphere, most people braved it and had fun.
There wasn't as many couple shot's as usual as I literally did them in under 5 mins before the heavens really opened, but what I've posted here is only around half I will deliver to the client.

I like a bit of rain, better if they embrace it rather than afraid of getting wet. I always tell them if they are happy then the photos will be happy, rain doesn't matter.

However, it is hard to convey that to 150 people.

Agreed. It's partly why I dislike long dresses etc. if it rains some brides become overly precious about their dress and can't relax which makes my job much harder. This bride wasn't like that though, couldn't have been more laid back...

not the traditional, run of the mill wedding stuff you normally see.

Thanks. :)
I really don't like the usual style of wedding photography. That's partly why I'm glad I didn't have much luck working with other wedding togs when starting out. I wouldn't want to pickup those traditional habits.

I love them, as usual an excellent set. I really got a sense of the day. The rain is cool, they'll remember that I imagine and I really like the shot of the car driving down the road from behind.

Thanks 42zx. I was quite happy with that one as well, it did need some care in photoshop though as someone annoyingly parked a silver volvo just at the archway through the trees.
