I have seen a few pictures on here where people have take several pictures of scenery then joined them together to make a large panoramic view, how do you do that? Is is option within your camera, or do you edit them somehow on the pc? I just got a cheap and cheerful little digi cam and wondering if I could do it with that?

Cheers

theres quite a few programs that do it, i use panorama factory.

the main thing to do is use a tripod or firm base, you pictures need to be as level as possible.

lol, I was thinking that if I was hillwalking or something, and took a picture, aimed the camera a little to the right and took another one, I could get a nice panorama, any chance of that happening? :)

Okay I tried that autostitch program, you'll laugh really hard at this, check it out, a panorama of my kitchen.

Check out the join in the middle of the door. :D

What I managed to do was that I lined up the edge of the door on the right with the vertical edge of the screen, but on the second pic on the left I think I used the far away window to get it level, and as such the camera had tilted slightly. :D

Panorama Factory IS good, but, look what happens to the centre of my lovely picture!

Big watermark, and I dont like paying for things. It, like, costs money. :(

It did do a much better job than autostitch though.

PS. Don't all laugh at once at my picture taking abilities, I don't have a clue how to set the camera for different lightings etc, but to me that pic seems ok.
