Big windows in Apple Shops

I was passing by the Apple shop in Brighton yesterday and stuck my head in.

I asked one of the staff if they had a desktop stand for the iPhone 5 in yet.

Apple Guy : No, we have the iPhone4 dock and we can sell you and adaptor to stick into it to use a Lightning device and here is the cable to go in the back.
Me : So, that will cost me £75 and look terrible. I know they windows in here are big but I think I will wait for the an actual iPhone5 dock to be launched.
Apple Guy : Er, do you want me to check if we have the iPhone4 dock in stock, they are across the other side of the shop.
Me : No, I would have to be smoking crack to spend £75 like this. I know it isn't your fault but that is a really bonkers solution.

Seriously the staff in Apple shops are as bad sometimes as the "Purple Shirts" but with more "smug"

sorry I don't get it? and I've read this several times.. whats big windows got to do with anything? and the person was only trying to help by offering an alternative.

Big windows in a shop means they can see you coming.

He could have not offered the stand which would have caused him to make the same topic with a different rant..

Well if the iPhone 5 stand isnt available yet then the sales assistant did exactly the right thing in offering you an alternative solution. He doesnt set the prices so I fail to see how you can call him bad. Seriously, I am genuinely intrigued as to what else he could have done in this situation.

I can call him bad because after stating that I was unhappy with the price and that I would wait for Apple to launch a suitable product......he asked if I wanted to check if they had what I didn't want in stock!
