Hi folks, I am currently in the market for a new OLED (currently a 55"), but am somewhat stuck as to the way forward. I sit about 2.4m away from the screen and from what i have been able to research i am between a 55" and 65". My budget is around £1500. For this I could get a 55" LG G2 or Samsung S95B vs the larger 65" LG C1. My viewing is mixed 10% terrestial, 30% PS5, 60% streaming services.

bigger or better?

65" C1, no contest.

I agree that size and quality are both important

However, When comparing two OLED screens already, you are talking about small improvements year on year, so size trump's that.

Modern OLED's are so similar in picture quality that it's always worth going bigger instead of better.
You'll notice and utilise the extra screen size a lot more than the small differences in shadow detail etc

The differences between different OLEDs for me is not massive, you will be paying for 1-2% improvements that most people wouldn't even notice.

Definitely the LG 65 C1, a no brainer really. Also check that it's the later C1 with the better Evo panel, which is what they use in the G1 and G2. (Just google it as it's simple to tell)

I didn't think the C1 had an evo panel. However, I have only just bought it from richer sounds....guess I could Google or find out
It wasn't advertised as such but some were manufactured that way, apparently you can tell from the product number on the box

OLED55C14LB.DEUPLJP”. The letter we are interested in identifying is the fourth letter after the periodthat is, the first after DEU. If the first letter is a P or a W you have an EVO panel.
Sounds like it might be pot luck
