Biggest Aquarium in UK

The deep (in hull) has a very large main tank - apparently the biggest submarium (whatever that is). Large tank in the centre covering about 3 floors. Get different views from all around it. Theres loads of other mini tanks around too. Its pretty good there. Spent ages just sat watching the sharks go by.

Yep one in Plymouth is pretty large.

The main tank is huge, the shark tank is also large and has a 20ish metre tunnel (although reminds me of a Red Dwarf episode due to its looks) and the smaller tropical tank is quite nice too, could sit for hours staring at the fish and turtle going round and round.

Recently brought a Fish Box 360. Went to my local Aquatics centre A5 on Saturday to find a replacement light and oggle over the staff :) . Ive been to other local fish centres and cant find a replacement bulb thats flurecent?

Its an Eddison screw fit....
Any ideas?

I suppose I really should visit it, considering it's only just over a mile away - I've only been once before, and that was for a party in the function room :D

To add to this and slightly correct it, its the worlds ONLY submarium http://www.thedeep.co.uk/index.php

Well worth a visit

Not in the uk but the Oceanografic in Valencia is the biggest in europe and rather spectacular

We visited last october and are doing so again this year, excellent idea of making it a long weekend and also seeing Valencia's amazing old buildings, a gorgeous city.

Plus they have a Dolphin show several times a day :D

Matt :p

We have now decided to have a weekend in Valencia during the Summer hols, bf loves aquariums and looking at it on web, plus the city itself, we've decided to give it a go. Not somewhere we'd have thought about before so thanks!

Are you kidding?

The Deep was the biggest waste of money and the most boring aquarium I've ever been to in my life!

Looking at the same tank again and again as you walk round and round in a sprial - we were in and out within 40 mins and it took us 2 hours each way to get there. Sooooo disappointing.
