What is the biggest PSP memory stick doo-daa thingy I can get, and is it any good?

Got a 14 hour flight next week...

Thanks

James

I thought they did 4gb ones now for the PSP? Anyhow as PiKe says, Sandisk are deffinately the best for the money.

watch out where you are getting it from though, heard there are quite a few fake ones around.

believe 2 gig ones are around £80 now aswell !

Fwiw, you can get 40min of video down to 130mb using Virtualdub/BeSweet/PMP, which is basically XviD in a custom avi container.

I believe 4gb (and 8gb) sticks have just been released but don't seem to be availble at the moment and I'd expect the price to be very high.

I picked up a 2gb stick via ebay a few weeks back for either £65 or £70 new (Buy it now), very good service with next day delivery (I believe the guy lives over in Ilford).

Video doesn't stream off them properly, it's stuttery, also it changes the ergonomics of the PSP.

Thats funny, my 4GB drive streams movies silky smooth and with the X2 battery it feels just right.

Yes it changes the look and feel of the psp but do u see any other 4GB option available?

IMO one of the best psp addons currently avialable....

Well there's numberous accounts of the Datel not streaming smoothly.

I'd rather have solid state over that pile of poo anyday, even if it is only half the capacity.

how does that work?
What adapter? From where?
thanks!

http://www.lik-sang.com/list.php?nav=over&category=311&

It connects to the memory stick port and adds, sd, mmc and cf type 1+2 slots.

You may want to get the cheaper more fashionable looking just cf adaptor. Compact flash cards are cheap £15 for 512mb, £30 for 1gb. Memory sticks are double the price online so it is worth spending £40 on an adaptor to save lots of money in the long run. On ebay you could get them even cheaper I bet! 2gb compact flash cards online are about £55, memory sticks cost about £65 on ebay! 4gb cf ones are £105 and 6gb £150 they dont make memory sticks this size at the moment, but these are cheaper than the hdd and faster, they also use less power, and when the new firmware for psp comes out you will be able to use 8gb cf cards as well, though they cost about £275 they will be less on ebay and a hell of a lot less than 8gb ms duos :) .

I will never go back to crappy memory stick again. At least other things allow you to use cf in them so your not limited to using them in your psp whereas practically nothing supports memory sticks.

Be careful with the 2GB ebay ones. Apparently the market is flloded with ones which look like proper Sony one but are cheap chinese copies which have been failing after a few months use.
