Bike gone!

God dam im annoyed/sligtly upset. Just had my bike stoen from my local gym, only went for an hour. Was all locked up properly, and was in broadlight!
Was a dmr sidekick (for any1 who knows anything about bikes!) road so nicely, and loved it to bits. Just hope police can find it, and i can sort out a decent insurance claim (bike is worth well over £900!)

Sorry to hear about that, it wasnt one of the locks where they say if its nicked, they repay it (the lock company), completely forgotten the name!
 
Its happened twice in this thread, so I really cant let it slide; "Rode".

Sorry to hear that anyway buddy. Was it insured or anything?

Edit: I fail at reading, it is insured, that's a relief at least.

My DMR sidekick got nicked from my house last year, how long have you had it? :D
 
Im guessin they got through with bolt cutters or something of the kind, it was a kyrptonite lock, once of the wirey kinda ones. But it was pretty hefty. There are CCTV cameras so i am slightly hopeful, it was insured on home insurance as a seperate item!

Must be about 4 years. Was my first proper bike and i loved it to bits, dread to think how much i have spent on it thought! ooo i hope i get it back!
 
sorry to hear that mate - if its worth that much they probably had good enough reason to try in borad daylight!
Locks are not absolute they are jsut a deterent!
hope all works out well though
 
I had my CBR gatecrasher stolen about 5 years ago, nice frame - but I'd spent a fair bit on it, Mavic D521's and MX Airs, pretty much everything else was differen't too.

Gutted when it got knicked.
 
Sorry to hear it mate, the sidekick is a nice frame.
I have a Dr Jekyll and would hate for it to be stolen.

Did you have bike insurance, or will your house insurance policy cover it? I pay £35 a year to insure my bike because I'm certain some cretin will like the look of it at some point...
