Hi guys

As a lot of you may know, i bought another bike recently, and becuase it cost me almost an Arm and a Leg, I am now looking for Bike Insurance.

House Policy i dont think is high enough now I have 2 bikes

Bike 1 cost me £700
Bike 2 cost me £1800

Total cost i want to insure is £2500

I notice that Brittish Cycling have a quote feature, That comes to £175 a year

I went with Protect Your Bubble and got the "Adventure cover". Comes to £30.33 a month to cover my Rose which fits into the £2500-£5000 bracket.

The policy seemed good and the quote competitive. You also save for covering multiple bikes.

2 bikes (as mentioned above)

Protect My Bubble comes to :

Everyday Cover = £13.58 (£162.96 a year)
Adventure Cover = £15.75 (£189 a year)

We need to work out a bespoke quote for you. Please contact us on blah, blah....

Three bike maximum? Pffft.

I just put mine on my house insurance and it works out at about £300 a year.

Anyone got a Surly Cross Check? I really fancy one to hang the groupset, wheels, and finishing kit I just happen to have knocking around in the garage

Strange question but if insuring a bike you bought in a sale do you put the value bought for or the value the bike was before the sale ? i got 50% off my recent bike purchase,if i covered it for the price paid id never be able to buy a like for like replacement with what they paid out in insurance

It's a good question. Probably one for the insurers to answer though as we'd only be able to speculate.

If it got nicked and you tried to make a claim for the say £1000 original value, surely they'd see on your receipt it only cost £500 then perhaps it would invalidate your claim?
