Bike Jacket recommendations

Still - £50 is not enough for a decent bike jacket - the stitching and construction is so important and could be the difference between walking away from an accident, or not. I'd really look at spending more, or if you want to keep costs down go for a decent budget textile jacket :)

I see what your saying but they do seem to fit into the safety bracket

"GearX biker jackets & suits made with A GRADE high quality cow hide leather 1.3mm & safety standerd for bikers on road or on track."

RST are recognised as the entry/low level brand. By no means anything wrong with them. I have a pair of their boots, gloves and am awaiting some leathers.

Chances are nobody is going to have tried the ones you find. I've seen lots of people during my MC training that have bought jackets that are all far too big.

Get in to a shop and get a a member of staff to help size you up. Leather should be tight and not twist or shift. They will be stiff to begin with but will give with time just like a pair of new shoes.

Cheers...some sound advice there...Last time I was in a bike shop it didn't go well...The guy was a tit and made me feel like a noob even though I was and have been riding one week.

I will never go back to that shop again :(

I will see if I can get one of these local and try it on...
