Bike Meet Motivation

Has anybody else been spurred on by the prospect of the 2012 bike meet to finally get those mods and work to the bike done you've always meant to?

My list has been growing over the last few days to the point where there is a serious amount to be done :

• Fit permanent 12v socket for sat nav
• Fit new chain and sprockets (1 tooth down on front)
• Get rid of the last of the safety warning stickers off the bodywork (damn they are tough buggers!)
• Tidy up the join between downpipe and the slip-on exhaust
• Fit the dark screen I've had for almost a year now
• Do the yearly oil service

Yes lol, worryingly you can hear it on a few peoples TD videos, surprised they dont lock the rear end up more often, specially on the twins and triples.

After fitting the slipper clutch on the race bike it was so hard to un-train myself to feed the clutch out gently. It takes care of all that for you so you really do just need to dump the clutch lever out and concentrate on braking and turn in.

do they only do suspension setup on Ducati's? that is the impression I'm getting from their websites

You could try Steve Jordan who is meant to be pretty damn good with bike setup. I've not had my own done by him but raced plenty of people who have, including him and his wife Sarah (yes they are both quicker than me, by some margin ) and the bikes always seem on the money.

Sorry bit of a thread hijack, but how are you going to do this and what sat nav do you use?

I've got either my iphone or the Garmin out of my car. It doesn't matter if they are waterproof or not because I have an oxford sealed waterproof bar mounted holder. The 12v socket is a kit off ebay like this one:
