One for the 30-somethings here: Does anyone remember the Raleigh Vector pushbike? It looked all futuristic (80's style futuristic anyway), similar styling to the spacehips in 'V' :D

It had like a mini-computer thing built into it, with a radio, distance meter, speedo etc.

I remember seeing one in a kays catalogue for around £400 and dreaming that I would one day own one :D

I've googled for pictures but found nothing :(

Anyone else remember it?

It's spelt Vektar. :)

I remember the kids from the travelling funfair used to all have these.... but they were really scummy and lived in caravans most of the time.

The "normal" kids would only have a Grifter or a Chopper.

OMG the vector was great, one of my favourites:)my bike history is as follows (best i can remember anyway) budgie, little mini chopper type thing wich was the greatest ever for a sustained wheelie:D,grifter wich nobody could ever possibly wheelie:(,raliegh burner gs which wasn't to bad for wheelie's,i actually remember jumping on that bad boy landing on the rear wheel and holding a fairly respectable wheelie:cool:totally accidental though:rolleyes:and then came my beloved vector,i had my hair styled like jessy mark from street hawk and i loved it:D.....good times:)

I had a couple of bikes similar to that when I was a kid, a Raleigh Cub and a Raleigh Wolf I think they were called. They had a console on the handlebars with loads of buttons which when pressed made cool noises.

I was the pimp in my street.

I have traumatic memories of my Burner, I did a massive jump and whilst I was in the air my front wheel decided to part company with the bike, so I landed straight onto the forks, on concrete. I flew over the handle-bars and did the face-plant from hell :(

My face looked like it had been repeatedly hit with a baseball bat :(

does anyone remember those gadgets that was basically a box with a grip that replaced one of the origianal grips and you could rev it like a motor bike?cant remember which bike i had it on but it was cool, had to resort to the old card peged to the frame before that:)

Yeah, and the yellow plastic horn with a switch for different sounds and a little red button to ziptie to your handlebars :D

I remember that, but alas I had to resort to the "playing card trick" too.

Although I did have one of these too... it was a police siren thing with an additional microphone too. It was great for playing at CHiPS :D
