Hi, I have a Voodoo bantu that cost me £500 about 5 years ago and quite fancy using it just for some leisure. It's been sat in my shed at my parents for so long and was barely used and like new when stored. It has air suspension front forks i believe and hydraulic brakes.

Was thinking I will just oil the chain and check the tyres for cracks in the rubber etc but will I need to do anything with the shocks except maybe pump them up. Do i need to drain and replace the hydraulic brakes. I'm a novice when it comes to bike things so it might be worth taking it to the local bike shop for a once over?

Thanks

Suck it and see really.
Tyres should be fine although they'll want pumping up.
The forks might need some air, you can measure the sag with a zip tie or an elastic band or something.
Brakes, hard to say you'll just have to try them.

If the bike was clean and dry and has remained that way in the shed, you might get away with just cleaning and re lubing the chain.

I'd say take it for a gentle test ride so you can see what's what.
