Been training all day today and yesterday and my brain is now a bit fried. Any last minute tips bikers? :)

Dont fail.

You should know everything you need to pass else the instructor shouldnt be putting your forward for your test.

LOL very true, just got the last minute jitters.

The golden rule is to show the examiner that you are confident and capable of using the bike to get into safe positions, i.e. nail it a bit to get into a safe gap, if overtaking on a dual carraigeway, don't dawdle passed cars.. go a few mph over the limit, pull in a safe gap, then drop back to the speed limit..

Oh, and always make sure you have slowed to the posted limit, before you get to the sign..

I picked up a few 'points' for not slowing enough before a change of limit, and riding too slowly around a sharp bend.. I did however lose the examiner for a period of time, as I was about to be boxed in by some cars where two lanes merged into one, so I accelerated briskly into a safe gap, the examiner commended me for that, even though I thought he'd rollock me for being over eager..

good luck anyway, take a deep breathe, and relax, ride smoothly, and enjoy it..

First of all, GOOD LUCK!!!! :D

Ride carefully and confidently. As others have said, dont dawdle. Make progress and show the examiner you aren't afraid to do so.

Pay attention to road signs and posted speed limits. A "30 Zone" sign means you should be at 30 or below as you pass it, not starting to slow down to 30 as you go by it.

Watch junctions and pay attention to other road users and react accordingly to their actions. Try not to stall the thing.....!!!.

Draw upon everything you have been taught during training and you should be fine.

Above all, the best advice I can give is relax.

It's easy to say, but try not to get too uptight, as it only clouds yer judgement and actions. If you fail, you fail. You can always re-take the test a few weeks later on.

I wish you all the best, and be sure and post back and tell us how things went!!!.

Just be alert, don't concentrate so hard on what your doing, that you forget to watch out for other plonkers that could ruin your day, there's plenty o them. And GOOD LUCK!

Good luck mate, had my test a few years ago, was gutted when i opened the curtains to find torrential rain, but i managed to scrape through.

Confidence and dont forget your life savers, dont go too slow either, make sure you know what speed limit your in, and if the test takes you past a school, look out for the reduced speed limits.

Just realised it was today :) How did you get on?

you should have taken in 22 years ago when I did , bloke stands on street corner and you ride round the block a couple of times :p

Well I passed! Was petrified, but managed to do it with 5 minors.

Thanks for all the words of advice and encouragment.
