Will be upgrading to my A" license in the summer so will be able to go up to 47 bhp

Bit of a change from my 14 bhp cbf 125 ;)

So in lieu of that I need to have a see what sort of bikes i will be allowed to ride.

Is it better to pick a slightly bigger bike and get it restricted or is there a lot of choice in this region so I should l go for a bike that is already under 47 bhp?

Thanks

I know 47 is a big number :D

yeah my plan was a ninja 250 when the old rules were still in but thought as it allows a few more bhp would be silly not too!

does the gs500 need a restriction? on here:
http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/b...e-Reviews/Suzuki/SUZUKI-GS500E-1989--current/

It says it has exactly 47bhp. But I am a bit concerned about the low reviews about build quality and cheap materials.

With bikes like the sv 650 are they easy to get restricted? how much is it likely to cost? And will it ruin the bike due to the changes to power: weight ratio?
Don't want to get a bigger bike only for it to be a ruined experience due to the restriction.

Brackish: what kawasaki are you talking about, can't find a Kawasaki very?

Additionally, what sort of mileage should I be looking for on this bike? As I don't want to pick one up for the engine to go after 1000 miles.

Cheers

Well the time has come, Got my test booked in for next week!
Got a couple of days training booked too just to make sure I've not picked up any bad habits :)

Also has anyone got any tips for my test, gotta do both the mod 1 and mod 2.

And that means it is time to get really stuck in with choosing a bike :D
Has anyone got any other recommendations or just the same bikes that have already been mentioned?

I appreciate all the help guys
