hey guys just got back from the bike shop the guys there where really help full if your from leeds can really recomend going to FULL THROTLE just near guisley :) .

so been looking at there new bikes they got in today
mainly the aprilla rs125 looks great but has anyone had ago on one or even own one that could give me some info on them and how much to pay they said the bike would be £3600 does that seem right ?

thanks INFECTION:D

3600 on a 125? Yer Bonkers ... Do yer restricted full licence and get a 400/600 with a restrictor kit .
The money you save on not buying a 125 can pay for the extra insurance on the bigger bike .

but the insurance will be boosted a lot due to am only 19 thinking that even if i do restrict it to 125 if i can from 400 ? i will have to say its 400cc on the insurance ???

anyone can shed any light on that for me that will be great thanks.

Yer the insurance will be expensive. You will have to declare the exact model of bike, and you will have to pay the price as if it were a fully unleashed 400, never mind the fact that its restricted.

They will give you a certificate when its restricted which your insurers might ask to see, but you will still be paying as good as if not exactly the same price as you would for an unrestricted bike, because its just as desirable to theives.

If you want a 125 ever thought of an NSR or RG? The RG's look quite trick and exactly like their bigger brother. You can also get imported 4 stroke 250's that are 33bhp as standard like the GPX I used to have.

I would listen to this man ;) That amount of money on a 125 is ludicrous. Just take a look on the mcn website and see what you could get for the same amount (or less) and you'll realise why  ;)

Yep, save your money, get a cheap 125, pass your test then buy a nice little 400, fit the restrictor kit and learn all about keeping corner speed up :D

My bike ^^
Then for yer 1k you have left you could get tpft on the above . Restrictor kit is 160 with cert .
Or if you must get a 125 . I got mjy son a NSr125
P1000013(1).JPG
I paid £850 for it with light damage (scratched fairing/bent pegs/broken indicator) Then had to replace the tyres/chain & sprockets plus lots of niggly little jobs .. Probably all in i spent £1500 in total to get it in roadworthy condition. When you compare it to my hornet there aint much comparison for only £500 more .

or for under £2K you get one of these

33k on a 125cc 2 stroke ...avoid unless you like to rebuild engines :p
Mito's were fragile from new so will be horrid with that mileage . Its also an import which will double yer insurance . If you must have a 125 look at yamahas dt125/honda nsr125 with lowish mileage (and not in KM)

My son is 18 .. When he started calling for quotes the best was £800 FC .. But after calling 4-5 companys i think the final price was £380 with Carol Nash (although Carol nash had quoted over 700 when he first called)

Never accept the first quote .. get 5-6 from the biggest players then take the lowest quote back to the first you called .. they will beat it ...reapeat 2-3 times and half yer quotes :)

Mate don't spend stupid money on a 125 seriously a lot of people regret it. Just get a cheap bike to practice on, pass your test and get a decent powered bike.

The truth, my mate is regretting spending so much on his 125, hes bored of the lack of power and is trying to get something bigger and better, but he cant because of the money he ploughed in to his 125.

It you need a 125 to ride on before your test, buy a cheap one, get your licence, get something with power and sell the 125.

Dont throw all your money at a 125 though. You may soon get bored
