Ah i thought you could get them from amazon or something!

Which is the cheapest best one do you recon?
Will you be carrying it around or is it just for use at home? If it's just at home get the thickest one, if it's for carrying go for the 16mm one as the 13mm one isn't guaranteed hand cropping proof iirc.

If someone asked me what does 'ugly' mean, I would show him this 'new' CBR. Why is Honda making such ugly things these days? The 09 Fireblade is sexy, but the newer blades look cheap and remind me of commuter bikes. lol

I have a 2014 600RR and imo it's the Better looking models, That 'New' one looks abit odd to me, Like you say the older Blades are very nice, the new shape isn't to my liking

I've got two of the III's.

I bought my first about 5 years back and a few months back the squire padlock literally fell to pieces. Apparently they have a 10 year guarantee, so they 'reconditioned' it and sent it back to me... with instructions for how to maintain it this time.

Strange one last night and this morning. Clutch felt extremely strange, bite point was really far from bars but at the same time the clutch didn't fully disengage when pulled. Bike kept rolling when stopped.

Then just went back to normal half way to work this morning. Had a new cable a couple of months ago.

Anyone experienced anything similar?

Oddly enough yes my car did something similar a couple of months ago. Almost stalling/juddering when stopping/stationary as the clutch wouldn't fully disenage, then a day or two later it was all fine and has been since.

I've got the annual service for the XR Friday morning, and have been given a GS to play around with while I wait. Clearly the dealer was frustrated at my failure to buy the R Nine T during my last visit, so he's setting his sights higher. Every time I get on one I'm seriously tempted. Must.. wait... until... I'm... older...

I'm in Sheffield for a week on Sunday, can't take the bike with me unfortunately as I have too much stuff including a suitcase.

Need to clean the bike before I go as it's going to be left sat in 1 place for 8 days, also get some pictures if I plan to sell it.

Not sure if I should sell it and add cash or part ex and add cash.

Surely that depends on where you're buying your S1000R from?

Yeah, the first dealer offered me £4000 as part ex against a £9000 bike which I thought was low but understandable. I reckon I could get £5000 privately or at least £4800.

I'm happy putting £4000 of my own money on top of the £5000 I'll potentially get for the bike, initially I wanted to try finance as I didn't want to stick £9000 on my bank card, I like having the money in my account but because of my poor credit history I was offered £4000 for my bike, £5000 on finance but charged at 29.9% APR. Borrow £5000, pay back £6400 over 3 years but decided against it.

If you've got the cash and don't need it, I'd ignore the emotional security blanket of having it in your account and just pay cash - anything's better than a massive APR. Plus, if anything niggles with the bike after purchase (it always does, and you especially like changing bikes for little or no reason!) you'll resent that monthly payment very quickly.

I tend to take out a loan for 2 years, often paying it back within 6 months, but you can get a much better APR. My last two have been under 4% meaning it's only cost a couple of hundred. Maybe your credit rating means you can't get them that low, but check some of the comparison websites.

I can't link to it now but there was a good review on 44 Teeth on the woes on the new 600 class - I'd formed a pretty sweeping opinion based on that but it might just have been the one model.

Need to look at replacing the standard screen on the VFR, it keeps my jacket dry and makes cruising at 80(ish!)mph effortless, but below 50mph I just get a face full of rain, and above that I get nothing but wind noise (but a clear visor due to the air being directed at the visor).

The wind seems to hit just below the bottom of my helmet, need a screen to raise it up about 12" to the top of my helmet as a minimum. Changing the screen is a 5 minute job so I can swap between them depending on the weather/what sort of riding in doing.

I think you mean EUROIV ;-) But is this really the case? Looking at the YZF-R6 the 2017 is ~4HP down and ~4Nm up with a wet weight up by 1kg compared to the 2010-2016 ones? I've seen a lot of EuroIV hate but apart from the Suzuki comical cans that everyone rips off anyways I'm not sure I've seen much reason to dislike the change? Maybe the R6 is a bad example?

Scary thought - first bike with start stop!

Scooters have had start stop for ages.
