Yeah but how do i connect it to my gopro? It isn't the standard jack. :p

No I mean you use the Sena flexible rod thingy and run that from the side of your helmet where it's mounted, up and in to the front of your mouth.

Then the separate GoPro mic you have sticking out your cheek pad.

Hmm I don't know if I want another mic inside my helmet, I'm not a fan of hearing myself on video :p

To be fair, I've only listened to a couple of my mates videos (that's all he's made) and they were low speed, but it sounded great. The one review I watched sounded great too. They were both a while back, so doubt I'd find them again.

I might take a run up to clee hill tomorrow as the weather's looking dry at least. @Clov!s which road do you actually take up to the top?

The A4117 is the main road that takes you almost to the top, there's quite a few roads that run off that main road but most are dead end roads leading to people's houses. I normally go as high as the hire plant as it gives the best view.

Will you be heading there from Worcester way or Kidderminster?

Headed over to bikers world when i finished at RRP, got myself an armoured hoodie for work, £99, seems ok for the money, the next one up was an Alpinestar but that was £185.

For recording exhaust noise when connected to a GoPro, the best solution I found was to run the microphone to a belt bag, and stuff it in a sock or a sponge. I"m not too bothered about recording on-bike engine noise these days for my few videos - it sounds a lot better off bike!

Edit - that should start at 1.21 for the off-bike clips

My sister spoke to me this morning saying she's thinking of getting a bike license... I'm not sure what to think about that. She's an "OK" driver, but biking is more risky, and I'm not sure she has the observational awareness to deal with it.

Perhaps I'm being over protective? :D. I'll tell her to do her CBT and see what she makes of it.

She's had a couple, and one major crash (car write off) around 6 years ago - that was due to trusting someone flashing her out onto a DC then someone taking the front of her car off...

That's not too bad then, some *cough* women drivers have cars that look like every panel has had a hammer used on it... :D

Ahah, not quite that bad - I guess I'm going off my record of never having as much as a bump. I did wreck the side of a hire van trying to get it up an alley - but that's not a car, so doesn't count ;).

I rear ended someone in my Audi about 12 years ago (when I was commuting 100 miles a day), and wrote off a VW golf GTI about 2 years after that spinning on some oil on a roundabout, other than no other accidents - that's since 2001 when I passed my driving test.
