Almost a coincidence - I finally cleaned my bike properly after the Europe trip and went out for a little ride afterwards, thinking about going down to Mersea. For some reason I ended up turning left instead of right and went up into north Suffolk instead. I'm flirting with the idea of moving right out into the country, so had a good ride around a few villages.

Uncomfortably hot today though

Do you guys genuinely enjoy riding in the sort of heat we had this weekend? I hate it. I mean it's great if I'm in shorts and t-shirt but that's mental.

The weather we just had or Scotlands normal peeing down with rain all the time, I'll take the nice weather even if it is verging on a little too warm.

Don't complain about heat until you're slowly doing the splits waiting at traffic lights due to the tar under your shoe melting and slipping out.

I hope the weather is as nice as it was last weekend for you.

Cheers, better be, nothing to ruin the view like a bunch of cloud cover.

I've seen sooooo many people in jeans and t-shirts the past few days. As someone that rides with full textile trousers and jacket 24/7, it's a bit worrying.

Also.. curse of the washed bike strikes again! Washed it the day I got back from holiday as the weather forecast was giving sun all week.

Anyway, went to a wedding on the weekend so we took the car... fast forward to today (first day since washing it) and it's been raining overnight

It's their body and choice, no need to worry about it!

Saying that I can definitely see the appeal, I've nipped down to the garage 200m from the office without even sticking my lid on and it's a great feeling but then I remember how much it hurts coming off in full gear so it's not something I'll repeat on the open road.

Last day at my current place today and I've just been presented with a set of JIS screwdrivers as my leaving present, you can tell there was another Japanese machine riding biker in the office :D

I can’t knock Halfords my million piece professional set hasn’t let me down yet, but no these are a good set of Vessel screwdrivers.

Looks a lot sleeker now don't you think? So much lighter too. I'll put one extra link in to raise it slightly higher. I also have small black bolts instead of the standard gopro ones.

I think my dash got as high as 26.5oC yesterday, it was verging on too much, but as long as we kept moving, it was okay. I had my proper summer jacket on, which is a bit like a tea bag... without the tea... and with padding. Lots of breeze!

I don't mind generally if I can keep moving, but I hate it in stop start traffic. This weekend my bike was still set up for touring, with a bigger windshield and hand deflectors, and it was a bit steamy.

It was 35 here yesterday and that was getting close to the limit when not moving.

32+ degrees and 7+ hours in the saddle is too much, we've had that the last few days here, even with vented jacket/gloves and Kevlar jeans. Going to lake Como from the dolomites it was mega uncomfortable.
