Caved and ordered a mesh jacket from sportsbikeshop. Should be here tomorrow. Getting the coolmax pants mentioned earlier in the thread too. Not a huge fan of the colour but the other versions are full price whereas this is £80 off.
I like the colour. For the price who cares anyway. :)

I want this licence and bike already! I'm on nights starting tomorrow (1900-0700) for a week and this weather would be perfect a bike commute to the coast! Hurry up July and August
It's actually a bit hot to ride at the moment. It's OK as long as you keep moving. But suiting up and then sitting at traffic lights is hell. Getting back from an evening ride is hella fun too as the whole insect world has decided to kamikaze into your visor.

Still great though :)

I'm itching to get out on mine but the humidity is off the scale currently.

Felt like a boil in the bag curry today when stopped - the heat was just pouring out of the bike!

Mind you, I'll only moan of I didn't go out and enjoy this sun and heat, so I just have a freezing cold shower when home

Yeah, my wife is WFH on Weds, these are normally my bike days in to the office but there's absolutely zero chance I'm sitting on that scooter in 38deg heat, especially as the thing is designed to keep me warm in winter.

And I'm not going on the Guzzi because it's not ULEZ, it's got a mahoossive screen that keeps the fresh air off me, is currently trying to kill me by ejecting its brake fluid, and the heat off that transverse V-Twin would be too much.

Train it is then. And yes Mister Khan, I'll bring a bottle of water, just for you.

These assumptions are all reasonable. Train away until this 30+ BS is gone.

Fun fact: in Poland they have nicknamed scooters as toilet because it looks like you're sitting on the ******* when you ride one. :D

I’ll bet you any money I get a call about my bike this week, with it being this hot and I’ve got leathers and jeans.

Going back to riding after such a long time is such a faff, you need to buy all the gear, choose a bike based on a 30-45min test ride... I feel like I'm slowly crawling, not even walking...

On a side note, anyone on here owned or rode the 4th gen MT09 for a longer period of time? I sat on one, took it out for a 40 min test ride and it feels small. I've a similar feeling as to when I rode the Street Triple 675R. The 2nd gen MT09 felt much more at home.

Whilst typing this, I've Husqvarna 701 and KTM SMC listings opened up. The new S1000RR is so sexy, one bike just ain't enough, is it...

Kibel!

I do have an itch for a Aerox with 70cc kit, or event better a 1st gen runner 180 or 210.

I went with the Oxford one simply because I can take the back protector out of my other Oxford textile jacket to wear. (it annoys me a bit that they don't all just come with one included) Plus it's being delivered today after ordering at 2 minutes to 4pm yesterday. :p

Spent a week bimbling around N.France. Beautiful area of the World.

Well, mesh jacket and coolmax pants have arrived (dpd delivery number 100, 2 hours late. Poor bloke didn't look happy) so the only excuse I've got for not going out on the bike tomorrow is being a massive pansy.

To be fair that ship sailed ages ago, get on with it :D
