Well thanks to our nice and reliable and totally affordable train network, I had to take the scoot in this morning. I took my wife's mesh jacket as it's night and day vs mine.

Dreading the ride home tho, that'll properly cook me.

I used to love getting to that bit where the A3 goes national speed limit, sweeping left... hate to say how fast I took that bend pre-kids. I remember one time, on a very hot day, my jacket was partially open, and the wind speed at XX(X?)mph opened it fully... not content with a flapping jacket, the wind then also caught my buttoned shirt, ripping it open, exposing my chest and blinding my fellow commuters. :cry:
 
Also, want. I sat on it and would be crippled in the first few miles though!

My favourite turn is heading in to London. Fast left hander in the 50mph spot. Lovely surface, can get a proper lean on.

The Guildford trains were absolutely crippled this evening.
 
We have progress! The dealers have been in touch saying the bike is with them now and it’ll go through the workshop and I should have a delivery date by mid-week, woohoo!

Any recommendations on securing a standard new build garador garage door? Just been reading about a new MT07 that was robbed from someone’s garage in the town next to me so I want to get mine secured better than two flimsy plastic clips.

No idea about the door, but get a decent lock! I have a Hiplock dx1000 but liteloks are popular too. Also something to bolt it to the garage floor/wall.

Nice one, yeah I was looking at a litelock. Need to get it all sorted early next week.
 
I sent the litelock x3 back as it didnt fit anywhere worthwile on my striple 765 rs, i then got the hiplock dx1000 which fits over the front wheel.
The litelock looks a lot nicer with a better lock mechanism and smoother edges but the hiplock is bigger and fits much better. If you check out the litelock website they have a fitting gallery and it only fits around the wheel on very few bikes, most are just putting it around a few spokes etc. Both are stupidly expensive but cheaper than having your bike stolen.
 
Stick an airtag in it. Somewhere where thieves too stupid to look. You can also get a proper tracker, I've had Biketrac and now have Datatool. The Biketrac kept killing batteries which admittedly could've been due to the fact it was installed in an italian 125 which a rather small battery, but the Datatool I've got now is excellent.

For locks, anything boron will do.
 
I have both a Hiplok DX1000 and a Litelok X3. I liken them to an old school Land Rover Defender 90 (Hiplok) and a Range Rover (Litelok). The Litelok feels more premium in the hand, with tighter manufacturing gaps, nicer rubberised coating, smoother lock. But it is smaller. The Hiplok is bigger, a bit rattly, doesn't feel as good in the hand, but I suspect will still be working in 50 years. It also fits around the front wheel of my Tiger where the Litelok won't. I like both but I have a slight preference for the Hiplok.
