Bikers Youtube thread

1970s: "hahaha those japanese bikes are all junk, you'll never catch me riding one"

2000s: "those Korean cars are all crap, they'll never take off"

2020s: "those Chinese bikes are all junk, I wouldn't be seen dead on one"

Well, here they come. Like it or not, they're coming and they're getting better and better. Once more dealerships open up or service centres get appointed, and people start getting confidence in the ability to buy parts for 10 year old bikes, it's game over. And no amount of "ehrmahgehrd Chinese bikes are gross ewwww" by the usual luddites and idiots on social media will stop them.

As a saffer I've obviously got a fairly high opinion of this man, as a motorcyclist he's one of the greats who's designed some of the most controversial and epic machines ever made.

This interview from 6 years ago is great. He's designed a leccy bike, and in his own words "they're incredibly functional, they're very efficient and they leave you completely cold. They sound like golf trollies and the fact that they don't have a clutch - I personally don't like it".

So he made a leccy bike with a clutch. Bloke's a legend.
