Hmm, if it isn't amazing, then surely better to spend a little more and buy one of the other super nakeds? S1000R, SuperDuke, Speed Triple (next years one), Tuono something-or-other. etc.

Oh I'm not saying I'd definitely buy it over the others, but it'd be in the running.
It's not like any other IL4, feels like a v-twin - even has the slight shudder under 2k rpm that a v-twin has! The MT-10 is all about the engine really, but it's comfy (I'd happily take it touring, it has cruise control too), smooth, and there'll probably be nearly new/pre-reg models for under £9k around soon.
Lets just say that build quality wasn't a minus point, from what I saw/felt.
Kreee - you say 'far superior', but apart from the looks (which you'll either love or hate), it's not inferior in any way. And the engine is the stand out point, it's awesome.

I love the looks, but having ridden an mt-10, s1000r, speed triple and tuono v4 (not 1100 ) it is really lacking in the suspension, brakes, ergonomics and materials.
All the bikes sound way better than the s1000r though
