The last time I was punished was about 20 years ago, on a ratty Z200. I passed a parked-up bike cop, he spotted the rusty tank and decided to take a closer look. I think I got 6 points for that. No MOT, TAX, Insurance. I might have been speeding too, I can't remember.
The last time I was caught, but somehow not punished, was about 4 years ago. I undertook an unmarked cop car on a dual carriageway on my SV1000S, I must have been doing about 90. He was unhappy, and made sure that I understood it. I remember metaphorically wetting myself, I thought he was going to throw the book at me. I guess he saw it though, after giving me what for, he softened up a bit and let me go. It still worked though, I'm a more cautious and safer rider for it. And my license is clean.
