Been looking at the Billion 7300N but am not sure if its overkill. Basically my trusty DG834GT is on its last legs (ethernet port 1 hardly works anymore and needs me to juggle the leads around to get it to work = really annoying)

Is this router good? Anyother brands worth looking at?

I don't want the router to launch satalites or anything, just provide a good stable connection, allow me to asign internal static IP's, port forwarding.

oh and a usb port on the router would be nice so I can share my Cannon IP4700 printer.

EDIT: Would like it to have an ADSL2+ modem built in and have wireless N.

yeh my netgear has been fine apart from it slowly doing, it is 4-5 years old now.

I think netgear are releasing a new model this month so gonna try find some info on it. Netgear are half the price of Billion so maybe best bet, I am a poor student after all.

Nothing wrong with Billion, nice business grade routers with a good ADSL chipset.

Alternatively, Linksys WRT54GL with a Draytek 120.

Just ordered Netgear DGN2000 it will meet my needs, will look into a gigabyte switch for it in the summer.

do what a fool I am!!!! why dont i just buy a gigabyte switch now!!!! its only one port that is iffy...... better cancel my order quick

 Business grade? Hmmm. We've got a pile of Billions we've replaced due to general shonkiness - the 7404R2 has the most unstable IPSEC VPN stack I've ever seen.
