Hello!
My other half plays Binding of Isaac - Rebirth/Afterbith on a laptop with the following specs:

CPU: i5-6200U
RAM: 8GB Kingston 1600MHz
GFX: Intel HD 520
OS: Win 10 64 bit

Since moving to the laptop, she seems to be getting sprite corruptions when explosions happens:

The laptop has been back to the manufacturer (can't say, competitor) for a different issue and has since received all updates, firmware etc. The issue does not happen in any other games.

As Binding of Isaac used to be a flash game, I was hoping it'd be something along those lines but of course that's no longer the case.

I'm pretty lost here and the internet isn't really providing any information on how to resolve this issue.

Do you guys think this is game specific or could it be a laptop issue? If it happened in other games (that admittedly push the laptop a lot harder) I could imagine it's a hardware issue, but this smells more like a game issue.

OCUK, please advise

Does it happen on a normal PC?

Tried on a different laptop?

This should eliminate if it's a game issue.

It didn't used to happen before on her old HP laptop, not tried in on my rig yet.

I just find it strange that no graphical artifacts or issues are seen in other games.

I could also understand it to be a hardware issue if more than just the bits that were effected by the screen shaking were corrupted, but the game runs flawlessly otherwise in all areas.

Have you checked that the GPU drivers are up to date as that might be causing the issue, but I do remember a certain youtuber called northernlion built a new computer and nothing but problems with graphical issues in rebirth (you can see some of the issues in his later videos about a month or so before the afterbirth DLC came out) however it might have been hardware issues instead of the game but I thought I might throw this piece of information into the pit.

Might seem a stupid question, but have you tried some of the in-game options like toggling full screen and changed the hud?
And have you checked that the latest OpenGL is installed? Afterbirth doesn't support OpenGL 2.0

Thanks for the heads up guys. Yep, latest drivers for the Intel chipset installed. Will give it a go in windowed mode and see if that solves it. I'll also have a look at Opened.
