So my MX500's died after about a year so it's time for something new for my 2.5 year old

3G iPod, It needs to be in ear, and prefrably white, I've heard good things about the sony fontipia ones, any suggestions?

Another pair of MX500/550. I find them unimpressive but they are about as good as it gets for traditional earbuds. Your options widens if you go IEM.. though so does the cost. Still, IMO, it is so much better to take the KSC-75. You may subjectively lose some of the aesthetic, but few people I know cares about aesthetic once they've heard it.
