BIOS and CPU-z difference - Please help!

Hi all,

So I've had my machine overclocked for a while now (i7 920 @ 3.6ghz).

Recently, for reasons unknown CPU-z constantly records my core speed at 2.8Ghz with no or full load but my BIOS will read 3.6Ghz.

Any ideas?

Ok, new problem now.

I had to re-save my bios settings which worked, but speedstep no longer works. My cpu is constantly at 172x21 (3.6ghz)
