Just put together my new custom build from overclockers. The computer starts fine and everything seems to be running smoothly, the only issue I have is that I do not get a post bios beep of any kind. I have an ASUS motherboard and even with the speaker in did not hear the beep. Is this an issue?

Nope, it's fine. A beep is to indicate it has passed the POST check. If it boots, it's passed the POST anyway.
You are aware you have to plug it into the motherboard? On mine they plugged by the power switch, the speaker came with the case, not the motherboard.
