Ok i'l admit I performed the most pathetic of pathetic searches (The answer wasnt on the first page), but could someone please run me through the steps to flash a standard gtx 260-216 bios to an overclocked Evga one (Or any other with a nice factory overclock and good fan control)? I presume you can just get the bios from evga?

www.mvktech.net ( << not a competitor ) is what you want I believe.

If you wish to flash to a different card manufactures bios, very much YMMV. I'm pretty certain you cant download the bios off evga, but you might find it on mvktech
The approach that I'm going to use once I have windows running is to copy my bios off the video card, overclock with rivatuner, write down slightly more conservative settings, edit the bios with NiBiTor to match these, then flash the card with the new bios from a boot floppy/usb stick/cd etc.

I'm still very much at the point of researching this, and have been for a couple of weeks. I'm pretty certain this'll kill your warranty. There's an evga tool out to change the voltage being fed to the card. Note that there's no certainty that a standard card will hit the overclocked evga speeds, and its probably possible to kill your gfx card doing this.

Do report back if you try :)

Ummmm you can just edit the bios yourself, very simple.

Here is a guide, just scroll down to 280/260 mods. Used this myself to clock mine to BFG watercooled maxcore speeds but still clock it further via software in windows. Or if you want i can upload my EVGA SC bios for you.

Thanks very much chaps :) When it arrives i'l have a play and report back. I'l try it the DIY method first and if that falls completely on it's arse I wouldn't mind taking you up on the bios offer Bradley!
