Ive never done a BIOS flashing, and as such dont have the foggiest!

Everyone keeps telling me to update to the newest version cause its loads better than my current one, but I dunno where to start or what im doing.

HELP

It's nice and easy :)

You need to firstly download the latest BIOS for your board, from the manufacturers website:

http://europe.giga-byte.com/FileList/BIOS/motherboard_bios_ga-965p-dq6_f6.exe

Save that to your desktop and double click on it, to extract the contents.

Next download the Gigabyte @BIOS windows tool from below:

http://europe.giga-byte.com/FileList/Utility/motherboard_utility_gbttools_gbt_atbios.exe

Install that program and run it. Point it to the BIOS file you just saved and click Update. Mine takes about a minute to update. Once it has completed, shutdown and restart the system :)

ok i have done what u said but im up to the point where im selecting which file to use for the update.

There are three files to choose! which one do i go for?

the choice is:

a program file named FLASH 895
another file named: 965pdq6.f6
and
and autoexec MSDOS batch file
