Within the next few days I will buying the following kit and while I am quite comfortable building it, I always struggle with the BIOS side of things (i.e. which settings to use for optimum but stable performance). Can anyone recommend anything or point me in the right direction ? At the moment im not really interested in overclocking. Many Thanks.

DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+ (Socket 939) - Retail (ADA4400CDBOX)
MY-046-GL GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC3200 Value Dual Channel Kit CAS3
PowerColor ATI Radeon X1800 XT 512MB GDDR3

best advice is just to read through the manual for the motherboard which should walk you through what all the settings do. Some general stuff:

- turn off floppy drive seek on boot up, helps speed up boot time
- set the boot device order to HD0 first, saves it scanning to try and boot from CD Rom, or floppy first
- Set AGP Aperture size to half your phsyical RAM
- leave RAM timings on auto i guess if you're not overclocking
- turn off devices you dont need like printer ports, firewire, SATA, RAID etc. depending on what you need active or not
