bios not updating

hey all.

on asrock n68c trying to update the bios from 1.0 to anything above. tried the flash method but wouldnt detect the bios files on hard drive or usb stick. so triied the windows way and i get a error message saying file id. is there any other way to update the bios?

The most sucessful way I believe is to use a CD; a waste I know but it appears to work.
