Hi Guys,
I built my rig about a year ago and I overclocked it from the stock 4.2Ghz to 4.8Ghz from new and it's never been a problem and it's not been tinkered with since.
Today while messing around I noticed that my system CPU clock was showing 4.5Ghz, I booted into the BIOS but it was still set at 4.8Ghz but every time I boot into Windows and open CPUID or Core Temp it is showing my system running at 4.5Ghz.
If I use the EasyTune app from the app centre (which I've never used to overclock as I do it in the BIOS) it will overclock it to 4.7Ghz which shows on the hardware apps.
I've updated the BIOS to the latest F8 version and updated drivers but the issue is still there, the Windows Power plan is set to high performance.
Has anyone got any idea why this is happening, I've not changed any BIOS settings since new.
Thanks
Tony
