bios password grrrrrrrrr

i have a desktop machine here that was due to be scrapped and im sure it still has some life left being a core2duo, anyway i went to wipe and reinstall and it has a bios password, which i do not know and seeing as it was a corp dump job lot i have no idea where it came from. I presumed that removing the battery for 10mins or so would wipe that, but it does not appear to do so. Anyone got any ideas?

no bios reset button, it was a standard dell corp machine

cmos reset. else google the model number there should be a mod tweek or somink to get you going

Dell boards have a jumper for the bios to unlock it I think you just take the jumper off.

What type of bios is it? Award? Phoenix? there are usually universal passwords for them if you search around.
