Bios Password recovery?

Didn't have a clue where to post it, so i hope its in the right section.

The problem, a few months back i changed the boot order of my laptop, HD's, Cd's, removeable. I also putted a bios password on it, however i forgot that, since i never really needed/used the bios. I tried multiple combinations allready and have absolutely no clue of what it could be :\, i guess i mistyped the password or something back then.

But since i want to reinstall, it would be a good thing if it booted from cd/dvd instead of HD, since i wouldn't be able to install the OS otherwise, obviously.
I have been googling around for a bit, but couldn't find a easy to recover the bios password.
So i was wondering, does any of you know how to reset the bios password, or is there a way to change boot order from within windows?

ps. I can't reach the cmos jumper or battery, so those options aren't available :(

I'd be really glad if anyone would be able to help me :)

Lookup "Hiren's Boot CD". That has a bios password tool or two on it.
Ignore the "boot CD" bit as you can also run the tool from a DOS window and may be able to reset it that way.

Oh dear :| what have i done, i tried editing the boot order via boot.ini but messed up :(. Now it says that there is an error in the disk configuration or something, so basically i cant get into windows now anymore either :|. And the thing is completely useless now.

It did make me think though, what would happen if i was to 'somehow' remove the bios battery, the password would still be on, but would the bios be reset to default? and with that the boot order?

Edit:
@ns400r
As explained in this post, i messed up big time, in theory i think the bios reset should work, so im gonna see if i can reach the battery. Take the battery out, hope that the boot order is back to normal, use the hiren boot thing, install my new os. There might be hope? :|

Research the battery location first!
Laptop batteries are quite often soldered in place and awkward to get to. It's easy to damage the laptop if your not careful. And as you've now discovered, editing the boot.ini file is NOT the way to fix your problem!
What is the make/model of your laptop ?

Possible once it's locked out it locks out the bios, requiring a new bios chip. Depending on the laptop (did you post on the other forums) I've read when some people have locked out their bios and hard drive it requires a new motherboard, and the data is unrecoverable even if you put it into another machine.

Well data isnt the problem, since it was to get reformatted anyway, im pretty sure the harddisk nor bios has been blocked.
Ive managed to unscrew everything, but still cant really get it open (appart from the edges) something in the middle is holding it together.
I also looked around the battery area but couldnt find anything. The model is a Asus A3e

Update 8:45
Im not sure how i managed to do it, but somehow i forced it into cd-r boot :\ so i actually have a working OS again, so from this point i can try to get rid of that stupid password using that hiren's thing. So ermm w00t :)
