I've just built a new rig, now on first boot it went straight into bios, now all gpu etc is installed no matter what i do i cannot get it to boot into bios, i barely see the bios/republic of gamers screen

I've tryed bashing the keyboard, but nothing it just wont boot into bios?

Everything is running silky smooth

Any ideas?

You probably have enabled "Quick boot" in bios.

You need a Cmos reset. Take out the mobo battery for 30 minutes, put it back.. then you're on defaults.

I see the boot screen and it says press F2 i have a feeling its my mechanical keyboard.. i might try a bog standard usb keyboard, i've read a guy online had the same problem with the keyboard and bios

Is the keyboard USB or PS2?

If you can get into the BIOS with another keyboard maybe have a look under.

Advanced - USB Configuration.

If your USB keyboard is still connected it should be able to see it there.

You can have a play with the Legacy USB Support settings as well.

Go here:-
http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/

find your motherboard, then go Support tab> Drivers & Tools> Utilities section

look for ASUS Boot Setting, download that, install, then click it in windows and it will reboot your PC into the bios.

Like you say probably just a finnicky mobo if its Z87, Z77 etc, needs a BIOS update to recognize that keyboard. If you post in the ROG forums they usually do take note and include the fix in the next BIOS release.
