Hello all.

My PC won't boot up first time anymore, either it will BSOD, freeze on the Vista loading bar, freeze on the BIOS screen (F1 to enter BIOS etc) and today it said CMOS Checksum Error - Defaults Loaded.

It had been working fine but then I moved everything into a new case and it's all gone pete tong.

A friend of mine has suggested replacing the mobo battery but the CMOS error has only happened once.

All help is appreciated.

P.s motherboard is an Abit IN9-32x

check what voltage your RAM requires & what it is currently set at (it's probably defulted to 1.8V).

RAM should* be fine, it's only some old cheap Kingston stuff. Motherboard appears to be fine in the case and yes I used anti static business.

The BIOS reset itself anyways.
