Just to confirm my rookie status, my second question of the day!

When I start up my new PC
i5 2500K
Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3
AMD gfx card

The bios screen is pushed over to the right (I am viewing on a 1080p plasma in my lounge just now over HDMI plugged into the gfx card)

The the first bit of W7 is also over to the right.

Then the W7 startup screen starts up normally centered and I am good to go.

I can't figure out how to make the bios output so the screen is in the center, any ideas?

It could be the the way the tv is outputting the signal & the resolution at which the pc operates at startup.

What motherboard are you using.

It's an Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3

Ok so I press delete on start up and fiddle with the tv, will try that

Bit of an aside - the cd-rom with the chipset drivers & utility disc had an auto-install feature - it was terrible, would never compete so I ended up downloading them and installing them manually - bit of a chore to set up.

Also I had to uninstall an 'iphone charging' utility which Whocrashed identified as crashing the PC, after that was 'unstalled', fingers crossed no problems.

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.

TV settings I have fiddled with make no difference.

In the Bios I can see monitor from the PCie x16 setting which I have enabled, that's where my gfx card is located as you would expect, still doesn't make any difference.

Your Tv cant hold the low resolution properly you might want to try checking the tv settings to see if you can get it any better like setting auto adjust to enable that might work you have to go through the tv settings for that
