i did a system restore to before i updated some software. when i did the restore my pc shut down as normal but then wouldn't load back. the mobo light is on and all the fans are working but nothing loads up. not even the bios screens at the start or the mobo beep sound. the led light on my monitor flash's which means its not picking up the signal. i've swopped the gfx cards around,pci-e ports, hard drives and still it wont load up. now im not sue whats up with it or how to find out so i connected the new hd to my old machine and copied all the files i need so i can wipe it clean and start afresh and then nuked the hard drive to make sure no virus ect. i dont think its a hhd problem more of a mobo. any ideas on what ineed to do sort this out. the mobo is a p5k

thanks guys

whats that and how do i do it haha. cheers matey.

ive had it for a month now and i cant believe this has happened already. so much for spending over a grand on a 'decent' pc.

Go here and get the manual if you haven't already got it.
Look for the clear cmos page.
I'd take the battery out for a few minutes as well.

You just clearing the motherboards memory so to speak.

1 Clear RTC RAM (3-pin CLRTC)

It's a tiny jumper at the bottom of the board.
