Hi guys,

Been looking everywhere for a modern guide to BIOS settings but can't find anything that doesn't bang on about overclocking. could someone possible help me find out the correct settings for my system?

Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz/PC3-12800 XMS3 i5 Memory Kit CL9(9-9-9-24) 1.65V
Intel i5 760 2.8GHz Socket 1156 8MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor
Sapphire HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI DisplayPort HDCP PCI-E
Gigabyte GA-P55-UD5 iP55 Socket 1156 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard

BIOS settings have sure changed a bit since my last C2D build

Regards

Stock cooler.

Most things are set to auto, can I trust these to be correct? My RAM on boot says it is running at 1333Mhz, that's not right is it?

How would I know what the settings for CPU and RAM are? There's no info in respective documentation and Intels site is a load of ****.

Might have binned it, they're always been useless in the past, oops.

Is it worth running the RAM faster? I don't really need any more power, maybe on the odd.

How would I go about running the CPU at just over 3.0ghz? Used to just up the multiplier.

Oh, I know how to use the BIOS, the issue I had initially is that there are a lot more settings on recent systems, cheers :D

Anyways, regarding voltage, I've noticed my RAM is running at 1.5, is that too much? I've been having wake from sleep loop issues that I'm trying to iron out and am wondering if this could be the cause?

Which settings do you suggest I bump for a small overclock just to see how it works BTW?

Thanks all

There's no level up option, unless you mean pumping up the multiplier like I would on my C2D rig?

There's no BIOS update, a little google suggest EIST and C1E could cause this problem, I'll have to look into it.

Lol, just read the manual and only just realised that the top PCI-E slot is x1 and the one below is x16

Thinks I should probably move the graphics card, haha!
