Hi,

I've just built my first Quad system. Haven't OC'd it yet - really please as is! - but I'm having a few issues with running 2 GPUs in it.

I've got an ASUS P5K Pro and 2 near identical silent 7600GSs in it. My original card is in the primary slot (x16) and the otehr in the x16(x4). When I boot up only one card seems to be activated. There is a BIOS option as to which card is primary and I get the same behaviour if I set it to PEG/PCI or PCI/PEG. Only the primary card activates. The other is recognised by the OS (Linux) and I can configure it and restart X and it's fine. But power off and I'm back to one again. There is an option in he BIOS for PnP/PCI settings. Do I need the set this to YES for a PnP OS?

Or any other suggestions please?

Cheers

Andy

Have you installed sli drivers?

edit: I've just seen which board you're using... that's a crossfire board, you can't use sli on it.

You can't use SLI on the P35 chipset I'm afraid, only nVidia's motherboards support it (and Skulltrail).

Anyone have any other suggestions please? I've been wanting to get a matching dual DVI card for ages so I can add a fourth monitor and this is proving really frustrating! The second card doesn't appear to be active when I get to my login screen. if I do a restart then it works fine.

really baffled by this one...
