BIOS/Speedfan only detects 2 system fans

Good evening,

I've recently installed 4 case fans and a new CPU cooler, and connected them all to my MSI Z68A-GD55 (G3) (Intel® Z68 (B3) Chipset Based) motherboard. However in the bios/speed fan there are only 2 fans detected?

Do you know why this is and how I can fix it? I'd like to turn them down as at full speed they make a bit of noise!

Thanks for reading, any help is appreciated.

I know this is a year old but I have the same problem.

The mobo is a Gigabyte X99M Gaming with 5 fan headers: CPU, CPU_OPT, System 1, System 2, System 3.

SpeedFan sees the mobo and reports 5 headers and I am aware, from a SpeedFan article (http://www.almico.com/sfarticle.php?id=6), the PWM 4 and 5 can sometimes not be used which is not a problem for me as I only want to control 3 fans.

This is the advance section of speed fan

However as you can see here its only reporting 2 of the 3 fans, all are PWM

So racking my brains to figure why only two are showing speed

I know from a Speedfan article

Cause speedfan only supports some fan controllers that are built into motherboards. For example it worked well with 4 of my fans on my MSI Z77 MPower but didn't work at all on my Sabertooth Z77 nor Gigabyte Z68X-UD3-B3.

In the end I got so sick and tired of crap motherboard fan control I coughed up £30 for NZXT Grid+ V2 and have never looked back. Possibly the best £30 I have ever spent on my ears.
