BIOS thinks there's a problem with the GPU

Running a Sapphire Radeon 5770 in a Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 MA770. On boot the BIOS gives the eror code for 'Graphics card not inserted properly'

But the display works and can see no problem. The beeps stop after about 5 minutes.

Any ideas?

Try a CMOS reset and/or look for an updated BIOS perhaps.

The mobo is fresh out of the box. I'll give it a go tonight

try reseating it, and checking the port for dust or something. Might be that its not running at 16x speed or something cause somethings in the way, so it thinks that its not inserted properly, and its now running at 8x.

Thats a total guess and me making it up, cause i doubt it would happen, but its worth checking, gpu-z will tell you how its running.

Also make sure it's got all external psu cables inserted correctly, Mabel try the other PCIE slot if there is one on that board.
